McDonald Surveys has a proud record in delivering surveying services for rail infrastructure purposes such as Stations. The technology we use and the experience of our people places us in a strong position to deliver specialist projects in this field.

More specifically, the outputs of our scanning technologies provide visualisation and measurements of all surrounding assets from the track centre, including super elevation, twin contact wire heights and offsets to overhead masts and ballast profiling.

Clash detection for temporary slews, adjacent tracks and proposed alignments is a critical component of effective, first time design and construct. Our work supports this.

Our Point Cloud scanning capabilities deliver surface area, dimensional visuals and data, to better inform scope of works necessary for safety and operational purposes.

The accuracy of data we can capture enables as-built comparison pre-works, for example; track possessions or overhead wire replacements.
