BUILT ENVIRONMENT

DILAPIDATION SERVICES

As surveying professionals with specific expertise in pre and post dilapidation projects, our 25 years’ experience ensures a client focused, collaborative built environment solution with proven results.

We work closely with clients and stakeholders typically in buildings which may be for; Commercial, Residential, Heritage, Retail and Government use.

Statistically we are able to evidence our success in terms of a 92% condition survey completion rate on projects spanning thousands of assets. One of the factors which determines this success is our investment into proprietary technology, people and processes. This extends to the adoption of third party platforms where appropriate, which in turn enables us to offer an unrivalled quality of service and value to our Built Environment clients.

Our proprietary technology – Inspective™ – has been specifically developed from decades of first-hand experience on projects to ensure that the three vital elements of Stakeholder Liaison, Accurate Asset Reporting and Financial Risk Mitigation will be managed and delivered in the most effective manner possible. In essence, we have designed this software to mitigate your risk. Our success through the utilisation of Inspective™ has led us to being nominated for an Australian ‘Innovation & Excellence Award.

Every aspect of a pre and post Built Environment dilapidation project is carefully managed with effective reporting processes in place. With regular and concise communication, much of it online, our clients in the Building sector can rest assured this critical element of the project is carried out with a minimum impact on client workload.

Managing dilapidation projects in the built environment has historically been cumbersome, time consuming and expensive. By developing and adopting best in class systems and processes we are able to offer an unparalleled solution. One of the centrepieces of our solution is Inspective™; our proprietary cloud software solution, developed to leverage our dilapidation surveying methodology and achieve low cost, high value outcomes for our clients.

We acknowledge that different Built Environment assets present different risks. In order to address this, we take a two-stage approach to the dilapidation survey process on site. Stage one involves a blend of our  Inspective™ software and 2D photographic technology to instantly identify existing defects. Stage two involves an immediate post survey, client-approved, professional assessment of the overall risk level presented by the Built Environment asset and the asset owner. The project risk level is customised based on our clients risk rating appetite.

This information helps our client to mitigate financial risk prior to, or early in a construction / project lifecycle and the resulting data can be acted upon through extended stakeholder liaison activities.

By managing the process in this way, the client often benefits from reduced rehabilitation costs and the avoidance of unwanted financial outlay and negative media coverage. These benefits are further enhanced through efficiency savings via robust processes and the ability to cross reference against project audit trails from Inspective™.
