Gary McLaughlin
CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

Safety Culture, Governance
Mr Gary McLaughlin has over 25 years extensive knowledge and experience in construction, infrastructure and utilities industries including sixteen years at senior management levels in both bid management and project execution. Gary is accomplished in business transformation, creating operational initiatives and driving strategic business goals to support sustainable growth. Gary has spent over a decade in senior executive roles for some of Australia’s largest Infrastructure organisations.
Gary displays a collaborative leadership style that has enabled him to build a strong reputation within the infrastructure sector, leading tenders and delivery on major heavy haul and urban electrified rail projects in both the UK and Australia.
As CEO, Gary leads the organisation to achieve the strategic objectives set out within the strategic plan. Translating strategic actions into annual business plans with clear Key Performance Indicators for all staff.
By providing a strong focus on our Safety Culture, Governance and accountability to stakeholders, Gary drives the organisation to achieve strong operational performance with a focus on enhancing the organisations reputation within the rail sector.
Gary is passionate about workforce safety and workforce engagement to ensure not only a highly motivated team but a productive team as well. As well as his hands on practical experience Gary holds a BSc in civil engineering.
Tony Marsh
OPERATIONS AND PROJECT CONTROL MANAGER
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
Survey Operation and Project Management
Tony joined McDonald Surveys in the role of Operations and Project Controls Manager, an area of expertise that he has developed over the past 15 years.
He brings an impressive, in-depth ability to plan our clients’ projects with a level of detail that delivers valuable data for both our clients and the business internally. His analytics pre and post project ensure that we have visibility and tight controls on schedules, costings, and resources during the project lifecycle.
Tony is a rugby union fan supporting both the Highlanders and All Blacks.
Anthony Morrissey
SURVEY MANAGER
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
Surveying
Anthony joined McDonald Surveys in Ireland 2018, having worked for a large surveying company in Ireland and USA previously following the completion of a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Geography and Politics from University College Dublin. Anthony also completed a Master of Science (MSc) in Geographic Information Systems, Remote Sensing and Subsurface Surveying from Maynooth University.
Anthony brings a wealth of knowledge, having worked previously in a Lead Surveyor role, Anthony joined McDonald Surveys where he commenced as a Site Surveyor on a variety of construction projects around the east coast of Ireland with tasks ranging from setting out concrete pads, holding down bolts, walls, columns for high-rise buildings. Anthony relocated to Australia in 2019 and since further developed his engineering and surveying skills into the rail and resource sector.
Anthony has a keen interest in adopting new technologies to the business and is a key provider of survey training within the team. Having moved into a Survey Manager role he is responsible for developing staff and ensuring project scopes are delivered to the highest standards.
Outside of work Anthony is keen soccer fan supporting the Irish National Team, Watford in the UK, St Patrick’s Athletic in Ireland and has been known to attend several Perth Glory games here in WA.
