Setting the standard for surveying in Western Australia

McDonald Surveys has worked with most major rail owners across Western Australia to streamline, secure and boost their rail processes and performance. We were the key contract surveyors for the Perth Stadium Rail Project with Laing O’Rouke and AECOM (PRISM Alliance) and provided engineering surveying support for the construction of the new passenger station and extended railway line.

As part of this project we introduced pioneering technology such as the GEDO Vorsys twin trolley system and Trimble surveying hardware and software. We also implemented virtual scene technology, which captured dilapidation surveys in 3D spherical images. This provided our client with a full visualisation and understanding of all building conditions both pre and post construction.

We are proud to say that we are now working with all five major rail owners in Western Australia.  These are Rio Tinto, BHP, Royhill and Arc Infrastructure where we support their track works during both maintenance and construction phases. In addition, our recent success in securing the Eliwana rail project with John Holland now gives us exposure to FMG.
