  • Avon Project

    McDonald Surveys have been selected by John Holland to support the control establishment on this 117km rail project from Midland Yard to Avon Valley.

  • South Hedland New Living Residential Developments

    McDonald Surveys are proud to be contracted surveyors to Georgiou Group working on the South Hedland New Living Residential Developments in South Hedland.
    The scope of works includes clearing, bulk earthworks, road works, installation of water and stormwater infrastructure along with underground power and communications reticulation.

  • Perth Stadium Rail Project

    McDonald Surveys are the contract surveyors for the Perth Stadium Rail Project working with Laing O’Rourke and AECOM (PRISM Alliance) providing engineering surveying support of the construction of the new passenger station and extended railway line. We have deployed our experienced staff, an innovative new rail construction technology in the form of the GEDO Vorsys system and state of the art Trimble surveying hardware and software. In addition, we have introduced Virtual Scene technology to capture dilapidation surveys in 3D spherical images providing our client with context and understanding of all building conditions prior to and post construction.

  • Roy Hill Rail Project

    McDonald Surveys were selected by John Holland to support the tamping operations on this 277km rail project using our expertise in the Trimble GEDO Vorsys system.

  • Eastern Goldfields Regional Prison Redevelopment

    McDonald Surveys were appointed as the contract surveyors on this $250m project providing surveying support to both Pindan and all other sub-contractors on-site.

    McDonald surveys also deployed their new technology in scene recording to assist Pindan in providing a 3D, visual record of a cell prototype to their client prior to production.

    McDonald Surveys are our surveyors on this project from the beginning.  We have a great working relationship with them and can rely on their work and professionalism every day.

  • Forrestfield – Cockburn Rail Resleepering Project

    McDonald Surveys were the main contract surveyor on this project. This project involved the resleepering of 35kms of dual track between Forrestfield and Cockburn to Brookfield rail standards. McDonald Surveys introduced state of the art, new technology in the form of the Trimble GEDO Vorsys system and Trimble SBS 900 machine control suite to the project.

  • Port Hedland Precinct 3 Industrial Subdivision

    McDonald Surveys were proud to be contracted surveyors to Georgiou Group working on the South Hedland New Living Residential Developments in South Hedland.

    The scope of works included clearing, bulk earthworks, road works, installation of water and stormwater infrastructure along with underground power and communications reticulation.

  • Kalgoorlie Derailment Site

    This project involved the setting of control using post processed fast static GPS data and traditional total station traversing methods. The existing track at both ends of the derailment was surveyed using the Trimble GEDO Vorsys system for a condition report and site investigation.

    The work was carried out under a high pressure environment, mobilizing at short notice and working on a 24 hour roster to ensure that the rail line could re-open for commercial use as soon as possible.

  • West Kalgoorlie Yard

    This project involved the setting of a control network and topographic survey of all rail and furniture using conventional total station methods and the Trimble GEDO Vorsys system, and generation of 3D autoCad drawings. This work was carried out by our staff who have completed the Brookfield Rail safety courses – Track Access Permit as well as being under the supervision of rail safety workers.

  • Hampton North Turnout
